MinkaLab is located in the mountains of Risaralda, Colombia, within the cultural and ecological landscape of the Andean coffee region. Our territory combines an agroecological farm, nature reserve, and community space for learning and living research.

The farm emerged as a process of territorial restoration and care, seeking to regenerate land affected by extractive models while supporting more sustainable and collaborative ways of inhabiting rural life. Over the years, the space has evolved into a living laboratory where agroecology, biodiversity, culture, and intercultural learning converge.

The ecosystem surrounding MinkaLab hosts a rich diversity of flora and fauna native to the Andean forests. Protecting water sources, regenerating soil, preserving native species, and caring for biodiversity are central parts of our daily work.

We understand the farm as a living organism and a space for collective learning. Every trail, garden, forest, structure, and gathering forms part of an ongoing process of observation, experimentation, and conscious relationship with the territory.

Our approach seeks to strengthen a more balanced relationship between community and nature by promoting regenerative practices that integrate agroecological production, ecological conservation, and collective wellbeing.

Through guided walks, workshops, residencies, and community-based processes, we invite people to reconnect with natural cycles, local knowledge, and the many forms of life that inhabit this territory.
