living lab

MinkaLab continues evolving as a Living Lab focused on situated research, experiential learning, and regenerative practices connected to territory.

We are interested in building bridges between theory and practice by connecting universities, researchers, artists, designers, rural communities, and ecological processes through real-life contexts of experimentation and collective learning.

Our work explores questions related to:

  • Place-based design
  • Ecological and cultural regeneration
  • Agroecology and food sovereignty
  • Vernacular materials and material cultures
  • Bioconstruction and transitional materials
  • Experiential learning and living pedagogies
  • Human-centered and more-than-human design
  • Multispecies relationships and ecosystem care
  • Rural innovation and intercultural knowledge exchange

We understand territory as a living research environment where ideas can be prototyped, observed, and transformed through direct practice.

We are currently interested in strengthening collaborations with universities, international networks, educational programs, and research platforms connected to Living Labs, regenerative design, expanded education, and ecological transition.

MinkaLab aims to develop:

  • Research and artistic residencies
  • Summer Schools and immersive laboratories
  • Academic and community exchange programs
  • Practice-based research processes
  • International partnerships between universities and rural communities
  • Experimental spaces for materials, agroecology, and regenerative design

We are especially interested in creating encounters between academic knowledge and territorial knowledge, fostering collaborative processes where research has a direct impact on local communities and ecosystems.
